Providence is the capital of Rhode Island, and one of the first cities established in the USA. It is most famous for its historic districts, amazing parks, beaches with marvellous views of the Atlantic Ocean, and lively nightlife. The Amtrak Northeast Corridor route that runs from Boston to Washington passes through Providence, which allows is a high-speed connection with New York. Green Airport with the Gillette Stadium.

Several transportation options are available from TF Green Airport to Providence city centre and vice versa. RIPTA Bus Routes 1, 8, 14 and 20 run to and from TF Green Airport. The bus stop for route 8 is at 700 Jefferson Blvd (Interlink facility), while buses 1, 14 and 20 stop at the commercial roadway in front of the Terminal.
Rail service is also available from and to Providence Airport, while the journey takes around 30 minutes. MBTA Commuter Rail service and Amtrack trains run from Providence Station to several points in Rhode Island State, as well as, Boston and Connecticut.
Providence airport taxi service is a fast and convenient way to get from and to TF Green Airport. The travel time by an airport taxi is around 15 minutes to Downtown Providence, depending on the traffic. Taxi stands are available in front of the Terminal.
